Preparing for growth—clearing mental, emotional, and physical clutter

Spring is here, and with it comes a fresh opportunity to clear out the clutter and make space for growth. But spring cleaning isn’t just about organizing your home—it’s about decluttering your mind, your commitments, and your energy so you can fully step into your YES.

This month, we’re focusing on Spring Cleaning for Your Mind, Goals, and Life—letting go of distractions, limiting beliefs, and unnecessary commitments so you can create space for the things that truly matter. Let’s make room for growth, clarity, and bold decisions!

Ever feel like your mind is running in circles, overwhelmed by too many thoughts, decisions, and obligations? That’s mental clutter—just as distracting as a messy desk, and just as draining. But what if you could clear out the noise and create space for clarity and purpose?Clutter Mind Creates Confusion

In my book Dump the Junk I share ways to clear the clutter out of your mind. Many times we are not stagnant because people are in our way. Most times it's because we can't get out of our own heads. Let me ask you a question. Have you ever worked on a task and finished it, but you re-worked several times and nearly or did miss the deadline because you felt it needed more. That second-guessing is you getting in your own way. In order to clear your mind you have to be willing to let go of the roadblocks you put in your own way!Mental clutter isn’t just about having too many thoughts—it’s about having the wrong thoughts take up too much space. If your mind is full of doubts, worries, and distractions, there’s no room for clarity or progress.💡Think about a cluttered desk—when there’s paper everywhere, you can’t focus on the task at hand. Now, imagine that desk is your mind. If your mental space is filled with overthinking, past mistakes, or unmade decisions, you’re constantly overwhelmed and unable to move forward.🚀 The Fix:

  • Write down everything that’s taking up space in your mind—unfinished projects, ongoing worries, lingering to-dos.
  • Ask: Is this important right now? If not, remove it from your mental bandwidth.
  • Give yourself permission to release stressors that don’t serve your growth.

Letting Go Creates Momentum

You ever get that can't stop, won't stop feeling? Once you get out of your own way... there is so much relief in knowing that you are your best advocate for success. Now I don't mean that you have all the answers, but what I do mean is that you are open to growth or the stretch that we talked about last month. Holding onto too many responsibilities, commitments, or fears drains your energy. When your mind is cluttered, everything feels harder. You procrastinate, get distracted, and lose motivation.💡 Imagine carrying a heavy backpack filled with unnecessary things—old books, rocks, extra clothes. The longer you hold onto it, the heavier it feels. But as soon as you start taking things out, you move faster and feel lighter. Your mind works the same way—when you let go of unnecessary baggage, you free up energy for things that matter.🚀 Do yourself a favor and:

  • Identify what’s draining you. Is it overcommitment? Fear of failure? Comparing yourself to others?
  • Simplify your priorities. Choose 3 things that deserve your focus this month and let the rest go.
  • Create new habits that build momentum. Take small, intentional steps toward your biggest goals.

Make Space for YES

When you remove distractions, you create mental and emotional space for what truly matters. Clarity attracts opportunity. When you know where you’re going, decisions become easier, ideas flow naturally, and momentum builds.💡Have you ever noticed that when you clean out your closet, you suddenly find room for new outfits that fit your current style? The same applies to your mind and goals. When you clear out old habits, fears, and unnecessary obligations, you make room for bigger, better opportunities that align with your YES.🚀 Say YES and:

  • Declutter your schedule—remove commitments that don’t align with your goals.
  • Say NO more often—protect your time and energy.
  • Make space for YES—be intentional about what you allow into your life.
Decluttering is a form of self-care. When you clear the mental, emotional, and physical junk, you reclaim your energy, your time, and your focus. This month, commit to letting go of something that no longer serves you. Say NO to distractions so you can say YES to what truly matters. Spring cleaning isn’t just about removing distractions—it’s about making space for something better. Imagine yourself at the end of this month, having let go of unnecessary stress, distractions, and limiting beliefs. You feel lighter, clearer, and ready for what’s next. That’s the power of saying NO to clutter and YES to growth. So, what’s one thought, habit, or responsibility you need to clear out this month?
